To the coconut palm beach!
Along the coasts of Ecuador – from the mainland to the Galápagos Islands – coconut palms grow in abundance. They’re not only beautiful, but also provide the liquid gold of Ecuadorian cuisine: fresh coconut water and creamy coconut milk.
The harvest is pure handiwork: With practiced eye and machete, coconuts are picked from tall trees and opened. The refreshing coconut water is served fresh. From the fruit, various specialties are created, such as Granizado de Coco.
This popular drink is one of the most authentic forms of processing and a true miracle cure on hot days: creamy & refreshing!
